Timber Cove was home to all sorts of NASA employees, but it wasn't the pocket-protected rocket scientists who attracted the slow drivers. It was the astronauts, those jut-jawed heroes as glamorous as Hollywood stars. Gus Grissom and Wally Schirra were next-door neighbors on Pine Shadows; Jim Lovell lived one street over, on Lazywood Lane. Sleepy Hollow Court was home to Scott Carpenter , Pete Conrad and, most famous of them all, John Glenn .
